ABOUT KATHY NICHOLS
Katherine Nichols is a writer of suspense with heart and humor. She is the author of The Sometime Sister, The Unreliables, and Trust Issues. A vice president of The Atlanta Writers Club, she also serves on the board of Sisters in Crime Atlanta. As a strong proponent of women authors supporting each other, Katherine is a co-host of the inspirational Wild Women Who Write Take Flight podcast. When she isn’t spending time with her children and grandchildren, Katherine loves to read, walk, and travel. She lives in Lilburn, Georgia with her husband, two rescue dogs, and two rescue cats.
ABOUT LYNN HESSE
Lynn Hesse is the author of three novels and a member of the Crime Writers Association UK, Sisters in Crime Atlanta, Atlanta Pen Woman and the International Association of Police Women.
She won the 2015 First Place Winner, Oak Tree Press, Cop Tales, for her mystery, Well of Rage. Her novel Another Kind of Hero was a finalist for the 2018 Silver Falchion Award. Her short story “Jewel’s Hell” was published September 2019 in Me Too Short Stories: An Anthologyby Level Best Books and edited by Elizabeth Zelvin.
Lynn is first vice president of the Atlanta Chapter of the National League of Pen Women.
Her short story about a domestic homicide, “M**der: Food For Thought,” published in the anthology Double Lives, Reinvention & Those We Leave Behind, 2009 by Wising Up Press was adapted in the play, We Hunt Our Young, produced at Emory University Field Showcase and Core Studio Luncheon Time Series, 2011. Excerpts from the play “Unacceptable Truths” was performed on the Atlanta BeltLine in 2013.
An interview concerning Lynn’s role as a police officer and the dance video, “Blue Steel,” are in The Women’s Studies Archives, The Second Feminist Movement, Georgia State University. She performs in several dance and theatrical troupes in Atlanta, Georgia. One of her personas is “The Dandelion”.
Lynn often speaks to groups about the writing process.
Lynn is a charter member of the International Women Police Association in Georgia and the vice-president of the Atlanta Chapter for National League of Pen Women, treasurer of Southern Sisters, Sisters-in Crime. A member of the International Women Writers Guild, Georgia Writers, Atlanta Writers Club, Public Safety Writers Association, Walton Writers. She is a Beacon Dance board member and troupe member of The Dancing Flowers for Peace, and InterPlay Atlanta, SoulPrint Players.
