We would like to announce our speaker for CIFFest for July 13th of this year is Lee Caplin, Executive Producer of "True Detective," "Ali" starring Will Smith and Carmel-by-the-Sea's very own "The Forger." Lee is also the executor for the literary estate of Nobel Prize Winner William Faulkner.We cannot wait to have our audiences hear and meet Lee Caplin in this engaging presentation of his work on the big scree, audience Q&A and afterparty in Carmel. His knowledge of the nuances of producing movies is fascinating and he holds a rare knowledge of the artistic history of our area. For example, one of the pivotal scenes in Clint Eastwood's "Play Misty for Me" was filmed in his home.
This is a great one for our younger filmmakers on the Peninsula to learn about producing from the master.
