What to Expect:
This event is designed for families looking to enrich their children’s music education. It’s a great chance to see how playing music strengthens discipline, focus, and collaboration—skills that extend far beyond music. Most importantly, parents and students will meet our teachers (piano, voice, violin, viola, cello) and explore opportunities to get involved.
Event Schedule:
🎹 10:00 – 10:45 AM | Piano Musicianship Class
Instructors: Kimberlie Farmer & Dr. Natalia Lauk
Hands-on session for students of all levels
Develop rhythm, ear training, and music literacy
Hear current students perform
🎼 11:00 – 11:45 AM | Open Rehearsal
Led by: Dr. Natalia Lauk (Director, Principal Keyboard of Idaho State-Civic Symphony)
Observe the KIND Casual Ensemble in action
Listen to works by Sibelius, Gordeli, and Beethoven
Learn how musicians follow a conductor and collaborate
