About this Event
Learn about the ecological history and significance of the grey-headed flying foxes on this hike guided by Davita Coronel, President of the Friends of Bats and Bushcare. Together we'll explore the biodiversity of the area, from the native vegetation to the nocturnal creatures who call the riverbank home.
Meeting at Bellbird Park Picnic Area.
Please bring drinking water, wear comfortable walking footwear and dress for the weather. We'd recommend bringing binoculars (but we will have a few pairs that we can bring and share for those who don't have them).
This experience has been designed primarily for adults, while programming is appropriate for children, the conversations and ideas explored may be more relevant for those 18+. If interested in a more family-friendly version of this activity, please click here.
We encourage you to leave your dogs at home, as barking can distress the bats.
