About this Event
Come meet and greet Muriel Fahrion, an American artist and illustrator best known for creating the iconic Strawberry Shortcake. She worked as a staff illustrator at American Greetings, where she designed the original drawings for Strawberry Shortcake and other beloved characters like the Care Bears and The Get-Along-Gang. Fahrion's work has made a significant impact in the world of children’s entertainment and collectibles, and she continues to create art and design, sharing her work through her studio, Outta Thin Air Studio.
Join us for a special event where you can meet the talented creator herself! Get the chance to take a picture with her, buy some merchandise and get an autograph. The event will take place at the DoubleTree by Hilton Helena Downtown, so mark your calendars and get ready for a berry sweet time! (Cosplay would be ADORED!)
It is important to note that Muriel does not receive royalties from Strawberry Shortcake. While she was instrumental in the creation of the character as an illustrator for American Greetings, she did not retain ownership or royalty rights to the character. The rights to Strawberry Shortcake, along with other characters she helped create, were owned by American Greetings. That being said - ALL proceeds and donations will go to Muriel! Let's show her some love and pay her back for all the great memories she has given us!
