ABOUT ASSIA LAU'REN
My name is Assia (Asia) and I’m a US Army Veteran turned Independent Artist. I left the Army in 2020 as a Captain to pursue a life that felt like mine. Now I’m an actor, writer, and photographer. My most recent film MY DEAD FRIEND ZOE won the audience award at SXSW this year, and will be in theaters nationwide on February 28! I’ve written two books of poetry, my most recent being EXCLUSIVITY which explores boundaries. I’ve also shot and published two books of photography, with my most recent being DESERT DREAMING which immerses the viewer in rare landscapes and architecture.
