Medway Makers is an inclusive maker space for the Medway and surrounding communities. Our mission is to increase creativity in the Medway community and encourage people to get together to help each other out with their projects and learn new skills.
We meet every month on the 3rd Sunday (subject to variations around holidays etc.) between 11am and 4pm for a general social and making session. Everyone is welcome to bring something down and work on it and share and get involved with members projects. There is no fee to attend any session. Everything is free and ran by volunteers.
We are a place for creative people to get together and do creative stuff in a social setting. Making ranges from electronics projects to jewellery making through to general crafts. We've made everything from robots to kites.
A lot of the time we are building cool stuff based around micro-controllers (Arduino) or Raspberry Pi's. Other times we make things out of wood or do stuff like terrariums and other crafty maker things.
Complete beginners welcome. No prior knowledge, skills or equipment is needed. Just bring yourself and your curious mind. We can provide laptops and equipment if you don't have your own.
