Meditations to Reclaim Your Personal Power“Power over others is weakness disguised as strength.”
— Eckhart Tolle
In life, many of us find ourselves caught in cycles of pain and suffering, whether as the abuser or the abused, in personal or professional relationships. We often feel powerless against these forces. Yet, there is a way out of this delusion. Instead of directing blame outward, we must turn inward, acknowledging our own part in these dynamics. By recognising our mental projections reflected in our external world, we can begin to refine and polish our inner reflection. This shift empowers us to reclaim our own power, moving away from feelings of helplessness. Taking ownership of our behaviour can be daunting, but it is also liberating, as we realise our minds are the creators of all. As His Holiness Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche said, “When someone harms you, see them as a kind teacher, showing you the path to liberation and meriting your respect.” Through compassion, firm intention, and self-awareness, we learn that everything in life can be achieved with love and devotion, without the need for force or control. Ultimately, we find the balance between the wisdom of complete powerlessness and the profound compassion of being at one with all.
This retreat is designed to help you break free from reactive energies and release self-abusive and destructive patterns that may have kept you feeling trapped in vicious cycles. By understanding the impact of habitual mental loops (vasanas) and triggers (samskaras), you will gain insight into how these latent impressions shape your behaviour, often leading to reactions rooted in past experiences. Through meditation, pranayama, kriyas and deep contemplation, this retreat will offer you the opportunity to address deep-seated attitudes and habits, providing tools to consciously manage emotional reactions and create new virtuous cycles within you and all around you.
Drawing from Yoga-Vedanta teachings, the program will explore how vasanas, karmas, and samskaras interact with the chakras and kundalini energy, and how the five shaktis (creation, preservation, destruction, veiling, and grace) influence our lives. By integrating the three tools of breath, body, and mind, you can transcend reactive responses, cultivate intentional living, making your whole life a meditation. Join Senior teachers, Celia Roberts and Sam Lindsay-German, as they guide you with fierce compassion to reclaim your personal power.
“Awareness is the power that is concealed within the present moment. The ultimate purpose of human existence, which is to say, your purpose, is to bring that power into this world.”
