Join us for a fascinating and heartfelt conversation that invites everyone in attendance into a practical, mystical, and spiritual exploration of death and dying. This is a space that is open-minded, honest, respectful, and real; it is designed to help you live fully while holding the reality of mortality in your everyday life. Our first guest is a funeral home director and Afghan war veteran who balances raising a family, staying connected to the earth, and tending to the needs of families in their time of loss. He’ll share what he’s learned from the changing landscape of death—from traditional churches giving way to celebrations of life, to the heartbreaking rise of younger deaths in the fentanyl crisis, to how different generations are approaching end-of-life care and rituals.
This conversation will expand your perspective, honor life in all its complexity, and offer insight into navigating death and dying with courage, curiosity, and humanity.
Each month, a new guest with unique experiences and viewpoints will join us to explore additional themes, sharing stories, reflections, and ways to engage with life and death meaningfully.
It’s an open, community-oriented event designed to create a safe and engaging space to explore the many aspects of death and dying that we rarely get to reflect on in our everyday lives.
This is a free event but RSVP is requested.
