This class is for LGBTQ+ and those who love us. Open to all genders and all faith traditions. No prior meditation experience required. This retreat will explore the theme of Spiritual Reclamation. Participants will be initiated into Vedic Meditation, an ancient, effortless mantra-based practice designed to de-excite the nervous system, release stress, and provide greater states of restfulness, creativity, and adaptability. Participants will gain a self-sufficient, sustainable and trauma-sensitive meditation practice, providing greater access to one’s inner-authority and direct experience of divinity and wholeness. Select readings, discussions, and invitational fire and prayer ceremonies will explore the ways in which we, as LGBTQ+ spiritual seekers, may reclaim prayers and traditions, like The Rosary, to be more inclusive and nourishing to our spirit.
Each day includes lecture, discussion, group meditation, breathwork, and select readings along with unstructured time for rest, play, and silence.
Mass on Sunday is optional. Lunch for Sunday can be purchased at time of registration but is not included in the fees.
