Meditation sitting groups are a wonderful way of connecting with others to share and deepen your meditation practice.Join me as I share practices to support meditation including pranayama (breath), mudra, mantra and concentration practices such as candle gazing.
The format of the mediation sitting group will include:
🧘♀️ A reading or yoga philosophy talk
🧘♀️ A breath practice, mudra, mantra
🧘♀️ A guided meditation
🧘♀️ A silent meditation
🧘♀️ A short (and optional) check-in and sharing
As a Dru Yoga/Meditation teacher and Dru Breath Coach I would share a short guided practice as well as facilitating the group, but I won't be teaching like I do in my yoga classes.
We may still do some movement to prepare the body for sitting for meditation practice. Options to sit on the floor, with support of a cushion/bolster or there are chairs available as well.
The benefit of a mediation sitting group is you are committed to that time and have the support of others. The energetics of meditating together can cultivate a deeper practice and heartfelt connection.
This meditation sitting group will be offered weekly on a Tuesday at 5.30pm. No bookings are required. Please check either Facebook and/or my website for any weeks that may get cancelled.
Exchange will be on a pay what you can basis to support the cost of venue hire and my time facilitating the group. Cash or donation via Square.
