About this Event
This event is great for beginners who want to learn the game of Chinese Mahjong, or for those who have some past experience.
We start off with Guided Meditation to focus your mind and get the brain ready to learn.
Then Janet Li will teach you how the game of Mahjong is played. Enjoy a mindful social gathering, and relaxed community atmosphere. Tea and treats.
"Between games, we quietly listened to the melodic shuffling of the smooth tiles clinking against each other, thought to echo the sound of sparrows.
Mah-jongg is the name of a bird in Chinese, the language of the country where the game was popularized in 1880 — though some form of it has been played there since the 1300s." - The Many Benefits of Playing Mah-jongg by Brahna Yassky
Mahjong is always played in groups of 4!
