This 60 minutes class will be divided into two sections: discussion and practice.The first portion will include discussion of what meditation is, what it is not, the benefits of meditation, how to respect other participants’ experiences and your own, different styles of meditation, as well as common misconceptions, such as “The mind must be blank in order to meditate,” and “I don’t have time to meditate.”
In the second portion of session 1, participants will be guided through a 20-25 minute meditation practice.
