A 100 years ago Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi was born the founder of Sahaja Yoga meditation. In homage of her amazing legacy of Spiritual knowledge experience and wisdom which she dedicated her life to spread freely to all who wanted we are excited to host a free event full of wonderful music dance theatre conferences and especially meditation of course!
All items will integrate a beautiful awakening meditation experience in the same fashion as was conducted and passed on to us by Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi herself.
Overview:
At 12:00 PM the opening ceremony takes place marking the start of the day with the exhibition “A Mother for All.” This exhibition delves into how she discovered developed and spread the practice of Sahaja Yoga meditation across the globe. It will be available for (almost) the entire day.*

At 2:00 PM there’s an animated puppet show for children (and parents) by Anikó Hekmat and her group. “The Tree of Knowledge and Wisdom” and “Princess Mirjam and Prince Thomas Need Friends” are seeking assistance from the children to transform an evil witch into a benevolent fairy.

At 3:00 PM an intriguing lecture on Symbolism and Light in classical artworks (and its relation to Sahaja Yoga) will be presented by art historian Robbert Ruigrok. His upcoming book “Corona Aurea and Aureola” is eagerly anticipated.

At 4:00 PM physicist and author María Teresa Blázquez will provide insights into the connection between the brain and meditation. Having studied Exact Sciences at the Autonomous University of Madrid and obtained a Ph.D. in bio-engineering and medical physics from the University of Granada her lecture will be delivered in English.

Starting at 5:00 PM embark on a musical journey with the Nirmalights: Indian folk music and ‘bhajans.’ This must-see performance will be artistically led by Sander Notenbaert a faculty member at the Amsterdam Conservatory.

At 8:00 PM the international ensemble Theatre of Eternal Values presents the English play “Shakespeare’s Women.” The female characters from his plays address Shakespeare concerning the roles he bestowed upon them. A thought-provoking production that has garnered enthusiastic acclaim abroad. Now showing in Amsterdam!

Returning at 9:30 PM the Nirmalights ignite the stage once again offering a musical spectacle with dynamic Qawwali music!
