REFUGE FROM THE STORM
Just as we seek shelter from outer storms —thunderstorms, hurricanes, and blizzards—we also need inner protection from the storms that arise in the mind: inner storms of worry, anxiety, fear, anger, and discouragement and so forth.
In Buddhism, inner protection is known as ‘refuge’ – relying on Buddha’s wisdom to eradicate our fears. Through establishing refuge in our hearts, we are able to generate a self-confident peaceful mind that will carry us through the storms of life.
Each class consists of two meditations and teaching on how to apply Buddha's wisdom to our daily life and question and answer.
