Multi-instrumental soundbath and guided meditation journey by the phenomenal Artis Moon of Boundless Life, Thursdays at Eaton Wellness.
About this Event

Artis Moon will guide you through a soundbath experience of Deep Restoration & Transformation. Explore sensory perception, intention, personal inquiry, and your inner landscape, supported by meditation, mindfulness, and sound healing. Experience the soul-soothing vibrations of an intuitively improvised soundscape that may include wooden flute, drums, metallophone, singing bowls, and chimes, clearing the energy field and gently guiding you on a journey home to your Self. Lay down, allow yourself some time to relax, BE, soak in the good vibes, and release anything that's not serving you in your life.

Collective Responsibility at Eaton DC

Given the data on declining cases of COVID-19 in DC, Eaton will not require proof of vaccination in line with citywide policy changes that went into effect on March 1, 2022. The first floor restaurant Michele's will continue to require proof of vaccination for indoor dining.

Our decisions are guided entirely by the science, which is why we were the first District hotel in 2021 to institute a vaccine and testing requirement. If future data suggests a new variant or spike is imminent, we will re-institute these tighter protective measures.

We continue to recommend all guests and visitors wear masks in public spaces throughout the hotel, and we encourage our community members, who are able, to get vaccinated and tested regularly to protect themselves from this ongoing pandemic. Our vaccine and testing requirements remain in place for all Eaton employees.

About Artis

As a DC native, over the past 25 years, I have lived a deeply fulfilling life as a independent interdisciplinary artist and educator, teaching and performing tap dance & percussion in the U.S. and abroad, producing, directing, & choreographing numerous residencies and performances; teaching visual & language arts, along with my unique Museum As Classroom series; and working as a photographer, writer, & editor, both for news organizations and the community at large. Throughout most of my adult life, I have also worked with a range of mindfulness & meditation disciplines and contemplative practices, and I am thrilled to be living my dream in sharing healing & the arts with the world.

My healing arts offerings include a variety of meditation classes including Yoga Nidra, basic mindfulness and Meditation 101, sound healing & sound baths; corporate engagements, special events, & workshops, including monthly Moon Circles & Reiki trainings; customized retreats; and unique 1:1 sessions drawing on meditation, sound healing, Reiki, Holistic Life Coaching, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mind-body skills, and arts processes. This work is heart medicine and aims to simultaneously be incredibly relaxing and restorative, while also providing opportunity for you to actively dive deeper in your personal work, if you wish. I am honored to integrate my role as healer, yogi, artist, musician, and dancer, and I love to combine various traditional contemplative practices, guided by intuition. My process in everything I do is very much influenced by my roots in jazz & improvisation.

My credentials: BFA in Fine Arts from the Corcoran College of Art + Design in DC, + the following certifications - Usui Reiki Master Teacher, Life Coach, Cognitive Behavioral Therapist, Childbirth Educator, Diploma of Advanced Training from the Center for Mind-Body Medicine, and Television Producer - and I am a trained Yoga Nidra guide.
