Meditation & Mantra Recitation: A Saturday morning workshop

The purpose of meditation is to make our mind calm and peaceful, to help us move to a space where we are free from worry and mental discomfort. Buddha taught many different types of meditation, from simple breathing meditations to concentrations on loving kindness and profound wisdom.
The practice of mantra recitation is a powerful method to break through habit patterns of mind that bring us tension and pain. It enables us to receive inspiring the blessings of the Buddhas, connecting us with our own incredible potential.
This morning meditation workshop with Gen Khedrub to empower you in your practice of meditation and mantra recitation, whether you are new to these practices or already have some experience.
Location: This event will be held at Kadampa Meditation Center Boston, located at 2298 Massachusetts Ave. in Cambridge, just a few blocks from the Davis Square T stop. There is free parking available, please email us at [email protected]

Gen Kelsang Khedrub is the Resident Teacher at Kadampa Meditation Center Boston. He has been studying and practicing Kadampa Buddhism under the guidance of Ven. Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for over 30 years. Gen Khedrub has served as a Resident Teacher in Chicago and in Seattle, and over the years he has taught special events and led meditation retreats around the country. His heartfelt teachings are presented with clarity and humor that make them accessible to everyone.
