We live in a society where stress is considered the norm, or 'just a part of life', something you just 'have to deal with', or 'get over'. Stress and anxiety are physiological events that can be greatly influenced by how we think, breathe, eat and move.In this workshop, you will learn how to control the symptoms of anxiety and stress with simple meditation and breathwork techniques. You'll learn the basic neuroscience that drives anxiety and stress as well as the biological responses that happen with meditation and breathwork to reduce those symptoms.
Learn tools and techniques that are clinically proven to help reduce the symptoms of stress and anxiety and feel better!
This workshop is presented by our Program Manager, Elizabeth McNeil. Elizabeth holds a Master Degree in Counseling and worked for many years in the mental health field while living in Memphis, TN. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, she continues to use her counseling skills to help people manage stress, anxiety and depression around a physical limitation, injury or surgery recovery.
