About this Event
We begin with a guided meditation led by Burnice, inviting you to slow down and connect with your inner world through sound and reflection.
During the last moments of the meditation, you’ll capture your impressions on paper, through words, lines, or shapes that will later inspire your artwork.
Next, under NÉNÉ guidance, we move into a creative workshop focused on intuitive and expressive painting. You’ll learn how to translate your feelings and sketches into visual form, experimenting freely with colors, textures, and techniques.
This 2.5-hour journey offers space for self-discovery, play, and artistic expression no prior experience needed, just an open heart and mind and a willingness to explore.

Hi there! My name is NÉNÉ.
Welcome to my world, a vibrant and colorful reflection of my thoughts, feelings, and connection to my African roots. Through my art, I celebrate the beauty and diversity of the African diaspora, weaving together themes of Afrofuturism, queerness, and cultural heritage.
My recent work, 'Alienation' explores what it means to live between two worlds, navigating the different codes and layers of being bicultural and queer. Alongside this, there is also new work touches on the return of stolen heritage from Africa, raising questions about belonging, identity, and memory.
