On September 20, 2025, Arlo's Medicore Hearts Foundation will host the fifth annual Mediocre Hearts Charity Golf Outing. This event will raise money for continued research and development of treatments for Single Ventricle heart patients, especially Fontan Surgery patients, like Justin and Emily’s son, Arlo, who was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (half a heart). About 35 years ago, research made it possible for kids like Arlo to live past the first few days of life. However, there are not many middle-aged adults with Arlo’s condition, and many require kidney, liver, and heart transplants to even get to adulthood. Through research, we hope that individuals with single ventricles can look forward to a long life, hopefully with their hearts. 18-hole scramble with food and prizes for $80.
