Medieval Crime - a dramatic performance of ballads, music and narratives will take place on Monday 6th May (Bank Holiday Monday) at the Medieval Bishops' Palace in Lincoln.
The performance lasts about 45 minutes and will be shown three times between 11am and 3pm.
As part of Lincoln History Week, The Lincoln Mystery Players will give you a real flavour of medieval life as portrayed in songs and music from this period, with a particular focus on the developing myths of Robin Hood and what they signify about the times in which they were created.
Our costumed performers, playing in the evocative Medieval Bishops' Palace, will bring you the drama of the kidnap and robbery of bishops, an outline of some shocking exploits and the growing her worship of Robin Hood. We will also tell of the brutality that was sometimes a part of people's lived experience in this period.
You will need to pay a fee (unless you're an English Heritage member) to enter the Medieval Bishops' Palace but, once there, our performances are free.
We'd love to see you there!
