A deep dive into Voice, Sound and Song, working with the beautiful structures of Somatic Voice work and Movement Medicine®.
About this Event

Welcome to Medicine Song, a journey of Somatic Voice and Movement Medicine® with Yasia, exploring our Medicine Songs, songs for these times to bring strength of body, heart and spirit. This a non-residential weekend.

This is a deep dive into Voice, Sound and Song, working with the beautiful structures of Somatic Voice work and Movement Medicine®.

Learn how to listen for a song, how to invite, greet and welcome songs that land with you during this natural listening field we will create together.

A space for deep listening for your true Voice, and your Medicine Songs, Songs for healing, Empowerment and Resilience for these times. Space to resource yourself with silence, movement, sound and song, to invite the songs that live in side each one of us.

You absolutely do not need any singing/ dance or movement experience to join this workshop.

The venue is a very magic, beautiful space run by the pioneer of somatic movement in Ireland, Joan Davis. It is in a stunning spot, on the top of Bray head over looking the sea. The venue is not residential, its nearest small town is the gorgeous seaside town of Greystones, full of lovely cafes, places to eat and a small super market. It is about 10 mins drive from Greystones, or a bus and a 15 min walk, or a taxi ride/ or lift share!

Voicework is a way of opening and unlocking the power of your voice. It is a non-judgmental approach to the voice and not about ‘singing in tune’ or making a ‘nice sound’ although nice sounds do occur! Its more about receiving and welcoming your true authentic voice, letting go of the shame, fear and judgement that can often hold us back in fuller expression of Self on all levels. https://yasia.org/voicework

Movement Medicine® is a movement practice, and a synthesis of shamanic, therapeutic and devotional pathways. Movement Medicine provides a contemporary map to support, deepen and enrich your dance both on the dance floor and through life. www.schoolofmovementmedicine.com
