About this Event
Join us for a gentle walk with healing intent in Griffith Park. This easy hike is an opportunity to connect with nature, set meaningful intentions, and work with nature as a way to reflect on goals and challenges.
We will gather at the parking lot for the historic Old Zoo and take a few minutes to meet and socialize briefly. Once everyone arrives, there will be a brief presentation/lecture of a healing topic for the day and a handout for further reading. We will then head up a gentle trail for about 20 minutes. We will purposefully walk in silence going up and focus on tuning into the natural world.
As we go, we will each gather natural materials we find along the way—feathers, stones, leaves, etc. At our destination we will then create a small collective altar where we can set personal intentions and open yourself to natural guidance.
On the way back down we can choose to keep silent or to socialize with others.
The purpose of an Earth Medicine Hike is to step away from the noisy busyness of daily life and embrace a slower, more intentional pace.
