Learn how to cultivate medicinal plants that thrive in our region and explore their applications with guest speaker and local herbalist Ayo Ngozi of Brickyard Gardens.Ayo Ngozi is a farmer, a lifelong home gardener, and a community herbalist. She is a graduate of the Maryland University of Integrative Health and has served on the faculty of several herbal schools and programs, including the Vermont Center for Integrative Herbalism, Wild Ginger Community Herb Center, and Seed, Soil + Spirit School.
Ayo is currently developing Brickyard Gardens, a nonprofit teaching farm in Savannah. You can find her on Instagram at @ayo.herbalist and @brickyardgardens.savannah.

Join us for this hands-on experience outdoors at Savannah Hydroponics & Organics, located at 4107 8th Street, Suite C, Garden City (next to the Savannah State Farmer's Market.). Please dress accordingly.
Class fees will go to Brickyard Gardens 501c3 and G.R.O.W. (Gardening Resources Offering Wellness) a 501c3 non-profit whose mission is to foster self-sufficiency and wellness through comprehensive gardening and food related education. *Need-based scholarships are available to anyone interested in attending the class who needs financial assistance.
