Want to learn how to recognize medicinal plants & how we can work with them?—e.g. yarrow to assist with stopping bleeding of a topical cut, chewing plantain and applying to a wasp sting, yellow dock root for helping to alleviate constipation.Come learn about:
* how you can use local plants at home to support your health - for which health concerns
* which parts of the plants to harvest
* optimal timing for harvesting
* how to prepare them (external or internal use; tea or tincture, etc.), and more.
This event is for anyone who has a general interest in plants, natural remedies, or is new to herbal medicine. We will discuss a few medicinal qualities for each plant but not go into extensive detail.
Specific plants we'll review include:
- Goldenrod
- Raspberry
- Burdock
- Plantain
- Cedar trees
- White pine trees
& more TBA - likely tansy & yarrow

✦ This location is physically accessible (in terms of reasonably flat ground, no steps, etc.)
✦ Consider bringing your notebook, camera, and questions.
✦ No previous experience necessary; we will NOT be harvesting anything.

Zhyfhs Millicent - RH (OHA), CHT, BA(H) - is a clinical herbalist in Guelph, Ontario who is dedicated to helping you improve your health with clinical herbal medicine. She is passionate about sharing information about herbal medicine as well as empowering people with knowledge to improve their health & well-being. She is a Registered Herbalist with the Ontario Herbalists Association and a graduate of Dominion Herbal College’s 4-year Clinical Herbal Therapy program.
