This presentation is an overview of Medicare for people turning 65 or those just signing up for Medicare. We will be discussing Medicare enrollment as well as information about the parts of Medicare and coverage options. Also, we will discuss the importance of the Medicare Open Enrollment Period (Oct 15 – Dec 7) and review some of the changes coming to Medicare in 2026.
The MetroWest SHINE (Serving the Health Insurance Needs of Everyone on Medicare) program provides free, unbiased health insurance counseling for Medicare beneficiaries of all ages and their caregivers. The MetroWest SHINE Program, based in Needham, is supported by a federal grant administered by the Massachusetts Executive Office of Aging & Independence.
