This course focuses on the connective tissue (fascia) of the spine and structures relating to the neck and back. Techniques taught encourage the body to maintain better alignment and balance, which results in less energy to function. Structural Bodywork theory, foundational concepts and techniques are used to lengthen tissue and facilitate a client’s positive relationship with gravity. The spine is the focus of this course (neck and back) and we will address common complaints relating to the spine and its alignment with the rest of the body. Therapists will learn to identify and affect patterns of dysfunction. A review of the anatomy of the spine in relationship to structure and function is covered in this course.
