
About this Event
Get started with Roll20, the go to platform to take your tabletop role-play game (TTRPG) experience online! To celebrate International Games Month, in this Media Lab session you will learn why over 15 million players choose Roll20 to play virtual tabletop role-play games like Dungeons and Dragons, Pathfinder, Call of Cthulhu and hundreds more.
Participants will learn about:
- How to set up a game.
- Navigating Roll20, including the Roll20 Marketplace, community forums and subscriptions.
- Using site tools including character sheets, Dungeon Scrawl for map making, dynamic map lighting, and applying programming scripts and macros.
- Related role-play game (RPG) sites for enhanced gameplay.
About the Facilitator:
Tinkery is educational technology startup focused on cultivating community and learning through memorable hands-on learning experiences and workshops in Creative STEM.
Ankit Jagannath is a Workshop Facilitator at Tinkery that is passionate about creating engaging learning experiences for students. He has facilitated workshops with JA Australia and is an academic at the UTS TD School. He has also led cross-cultural innovation programs in China, Indonesia, and the Middle East.

Skill level: No previous experience necessary.
Equipment: It is recommended participants set up a free account with Roll20 before the session. The Media Lab is equipped with computers which can be used to access Roll20. If you have a laptop device you are welcome to use this instead, however please select BYOD (bring your own device) as the ticket type.
