This session is specifically designed to equip you with the confidence and skills needed to excel when dealing with the media.
During this comprehensive training, we will cover two crucial components: theory and practical application. Our goal is to demystify the expectations and fears that often come with working with the media. Once we have established a solid theoretical foundation, you will have the opportunity to put your knowledge into practice through radio and television interviews in our state-of-the-art studios.
Here's an overview of what you can expect from the workshop:
Theory:
The media cycle - Gain valuable insights into what the media seeks during engagements.
The dos and don'ts of media engagements - Master the essential guidelines for successful media interactions.
Confidence Training - Learn valuable tips and techniques to boost your confidence when working with the media.
Message and content production - Fine-tune your storytelling skills and craft compelling pitches.
Practical:
Media Interviews with all participants:
Radio - Immerse yourself in a studio environment and record a three-minute interview on a topic that will be provided on the day.
Television - Experience a TV doorstop interview with a journalist on a topic to be provided on the day.
Review work - Playback your interviews to the group for constructive feedback and discussion.
*Minimum number of attendees required, if minimum number of attendees is not met the workshop will be rescheduled to a later date.
