Presentation on Riverfront Development Projects and Master Plan for Future Development
The Berkley Riverfront Development is an overnight success that took 27 years. After decades of site remediation and a series of plans that resulted in no vertical development, Port KC created a zoing overlay based on previous plans and began marketing lots rather than seeking a master developer. Twelve years later, the 90 acres is 1/3 developed, home to the first stadium in the world anchored by a women's sports team, and recently announced phased development by a joint venture of the owners of the KC Current and Marquee Development and designed by Perkins & Eastman. The panel discussion of principals will occur in the Pitch Club at CPKC Stadium.
