Andrea Uchitel @andreauchitel is a leading figure among the new generation of milongueros, known for her dynamic teaching and profound understanding of movement.
A Ph.D. in Biology (2008), Andrea has integrated her scientific background with her passion for dance, working with celebrated maestros and exploring body movement through somatic practices like Contact Improvisation and the Alexander Technique.
Since 2002, Andrea has taught Tango in prestigious cultural venues in Buenos Aires and organized workshops globally, including Europe, Canada, Latin America, and South Africa. Her unique method, Mecánicas del Abrazo (Mechanics of the Embrace), emphasizes the anatomical, sensory, and kinetic aspects of tango, enabling dancers to connect deeply with their partners and excel in the social tango environment.
