Let’s come together to show some serious 💕 LOVE 💕 and 🤝 SUPPORT 🙌 for our very own friend, sister, daughter and mom - Jackie Marshall (originally from Elkhorn/Delavan!) and her boyfriend Abe — two incredible, hardworking people who recently lost EVERYTHING in the devastating Texas floods. 💦😢
Jackie moved to Burnet, TX in May 2024 to start a new chapter with Abe, who has been putting blood, sweat & tears into his home since he bought it at 20 years old (20+ years ago!). Together, they turned it into THEIR home over the past year. But on July 5th, their world was turned upside down when floodwaters rushed into their home — in just over 20 minutes, over 5 feet of water destroyed everything.. the house, their two trucks and Abe’s workshop. 😔
To make things even harder, they learned the home wasn’t covered by flood insurance (Abe was never told he was in, what FEMA considers, a flood zone) so insurance is covering NOTHING. 💸💔
