Western Swing became a major hit with audiences of the south west, packing out huge dance halls everywhere. When you hear it you will understand why. In Western swing you will hear influences from traditional jazz songs, popular music, country and fiddle tunes and even gypsy jazz, all combined into a very entertaining blend – sometime referred to as Cowboy Jazz.
