Meaningful Connection & Engagement in Dementia Care
This is a one day training course focusing on enhancing connection and engagement in dementia care. The session will allow participants to come away with greater understanding, knowledge, and increased skills in how to promote meaningful connections and engagement in their working practice. By gaining these skills, particiapnts will be able to support person centred care, allowing those they support to truely be at the heart of practice.
During the training, participants will discover innovative strategies and practical techniques to create meaningful experiences for individuals living with a dementia. Learn from experts in the field with the opportuntiy to connect with fellow caregivers, healthcare professionals, and others within the field of dementia care.
Teaching will take place at the home of the Dementia Services Development Centre (DSDC), in the world renowned Iris Murdoch Building, University of Stirling. The Iris Murdoch Building was the first public dementia friendly building in the UK when it opened in 2003.
