This event is free to the public thanks to a collaboration with Cool Boulder, the City of Boulder's Open Space and Mountain Parks Department and the City of Boulder's Climate Initiatives Team! This will be the '24 Meadow Music series finale. Expect an age-appropriate, climate-friendly set of skits and songs as well as an expo of activities and giveaways from local, climate-action orgs.Meet us at 9:30am to start a short hike that's friendly to all ages (we recommend arriving early to find a place to put your picnic blanket before the hike).
Our hike takes about 30 minutes because of all the little legs that join it, but all ages should be able to accomplish the task. Along the way we'll look for our color of the week and at the end our hike we'll sing a song to bring out our animal of the week--Coyote Bob, Ranger Paula, or The Black Bear...
After our hike we return to Chautauqua Green for a concert full of our original nature and science-based music. The concert starts around 10am and ends by about 11:00am. Bring a blanket to sit on, a picnic and some hiking shoes.
And since it's our series finale it's just gotta be a party! In addition to our hike and the nature/science-themed kids' concert, expect a ring of booths from good-hearted, local orgs. doing their part on the Boco climate action front! Booths will include kid-friendly games/activities, some sustainable giveaways, free popsicles and at least one of those spinning trade show wheels :)
