Set in the 1930s, Me and My Girl tells the story of Bill Snibson, a cheerful and unrefined cockney from Lambeth, who discovers he is the long-lost heir to the Hareford fortune and title. However, in order to inherit, he must conform to the aristocratic lifestyle, including giving up his girlfriend Sally Smith, whom he loves dearly. The comedic plot revolves around Bill's attempts to navigate high society while staying true to himself and his roots.
