MDST are proud to present Room Service's biggest headline show to date at South London's Portico Gallery, with special guests Slumber and Womaniser.Coming off the back of the success of their debut single, 'Genny,' Room Service play their biggest headline show to date at the Portico Gallery, Norwood.
Throughout the last year, the London-based 5 piece have impressed at venues across the capital, from The Windmill, Brixton, to Bush Hall, Shepherds Bush, with their captivating, pretentious-yet-accessible live performance.
Their sound blends indie sleaze, grunge and new wave, with a brilliant original set, such as the gloomy, sludgy 'its not like the last one' and the beautiful, romantic and shoegazy, 'I love you.' The band are described as having a 'Perfectly defined sound, giving them their own edge of originality' and that they 'fall into a category of their own, bending and breaking rules to create their sound' - Red and Roll Magazine, 2024.
The Portico Gallery is a staple of the South-East London art scene, regularly hosting a range of events for the local community. Dating back to 1885, the Victorian public hall on Knights Hill Road was originally built to provide popular entertainment for the citizens of Norwood, where music halls were a tradition rooted in the working class history of London.
