About this Event
Please join us on Wednesday, December 4th for MDRF’s annual fundraiser, to be held from 6pm to 8pm at the offices of Murtha Cullina, LLP, on the 12th floor of 33 Arch Street, Boston.
We are excited to welcome Professor Ingrid Hillinger of Boston College Law School as our featured speaker. Professor Hillinger teaches a variety of commercial law and bankruptcy courses. She is a co-editor of Chapter 11 Theory & Practice: A Guide to Reorganization,” and is a co-author of an Article 9 case book, Commercial Transactions: Securing Financing: Cases, Materials & Problems.”
The evening will feature food and refreshment, and be a wonderful opportunity to network and support the important pro bono services provided by MDRF to low-income families across Massachusetts.
MDRF is a small Massachusetts 501(c)(3) charity celebrating over 13 years of providing free legal assistance to low-income Massachusetts residents for debt relief assistance. With our assistance our clients receive legal representation they otherwise would be unable to afford, are able to move past financial hardships and begin to work towards achieving their financial goals. MDRF works in partnership with legal aid organizations such as Community Legal Aid and Volunteer Lawyers Project to ensure every individual who needs assistance receives timely and expert representation.
Our program provides free legal consultations and direct assistance to 150 to 200 individuals per year.

MDRF Client Testimonial:
“Maegan Hurley and MDRF helped me escape from a pile of debt that had left me paralyzed with stress for the past two years. I had previously sought affordable legal assistance through Mass Legal Services, but even discounted rates were beyond my means. MDRF enabled me to safely and swiftly file for Chapter 7 bankruptcy, and establish a clean, financial slate. From my initial inquiry, Maegan was extremely prompt in getting the ball rolling, answering questions, and responding to all concerns. Thanks to Ms. Hurley's assistance, I am able to begin building a healthy credit and financial profile once again."
