M**der Mystery Party - Columbia MD

Whodunnit for Hire and the Doubletree by Hilton in Columbia present "Sinister Speakeasy" the 1920s theme M**der mystery dinner party.

You must be 21+ to attend this event. Your admission includes the three course dinner with entrée options, tax, gratuity, parking and the mystery game. You will need cash or a CC for drinks at the bar. Everyone plays at this party as a sleuth (searching for clues, interrogating suspects and solving whodunnit) or a suspect (proclaiming your innocence, casting suspicion on others and giving out clues). Watch out. This is so much fun you might die laughing.

The Doubletree by Hilton Columbia will offer 1920s themed drinks at the hotel's bar (cash or credit accepted)

What is the timeline for the event?

• 7:00 Doors Open
• 7 :30 Salads Served | Start of Mystery
• 8 :00 Entrees Served | Interrogations
• 9 :00 Dessert Served| Wrap-Up, Curtain Call, Awards
• 9 :30 End

What time should I arrive? You should arrive between 7 and 7:10pm. If you arrive earlier than 7pm you may relax in the hotel lobby - it is lovely.

I've seen "Sinister Speakeasy." Do you have other locations/dates/themes? Yes! Check out the options at .

I would like to sit with my friend. Could we make separate reservations? Yes! Make a reservation with the same party name and you will be seated together. You'll choose a party name during check out.

Are there exceptions to the "no refunds policy"? No. Should any emergency prevent you from attending (i.e. death in the family or covid) give your seat to a friend. Plan accordingly.

What if there is a storm? If the Doubletree is open, the event will go as planned and there will be no refunds for no-shows. If the state of Maryland forces the hotel to close for any reason and the event is cancelled, everyone will get a full refund.

I would like to book more than eight people. Is there a discount? Yes, purchasing a table for eight will reduce the rate to $85/person. Additionally, If you pay by a single check in the mail for eight or more seats you will avoid Eventbrite transaction and credit card fees.
