About this Event
Do you love to write? The McMullan Writers Workshops (MWW) operate as three concurrent workshops for middle school, high school, and adult writer cohorts. The workshop for high school students is our flagship workshop and serves 72 writers.
The MWW family of workshops provides an opportunity for writers of all ages to develop as creative writers under the instruction of talented writing instructors and to study literature under the guidance of college professors. Students learn from accomplished writers and teachers of poetry, drama, fiction, and creative non-fiction.
The 2025 workshops will take place on the campus of Millsaps College the week of June 9-13, Monday-Friday. Participation in the workshop is separated into three age groups:
- High school students who are rising 10th graders through rising college freshmen (Residential).
- Middle school students who are rising 8th and 9th graders (Residential, with day program option)
- Adult writers of any age (Day program or residential)
We are proud to announce our Keynote Speaker for the 2025 workshops is Jack Davis, environmental science writer and Pulitzer-winning author of The Gulf!
