About this Event
This is a two-part workshop taking place on 27 October and 3 November 5.15pm - 7.45pm. Please attend both dates.
Unwind after hours in the museum, as we kick off our first block of McManus Monday makers sessions. Get creative and discover the eco-friendly world of Jesmonite to craft unique, one-of-a-kind jewellery pieces.
Under the expert guidance of local designer Syrah Jay, this block of two hands-on workshops offers the perfect space for beginners and seasoned creatives alike. Experience a relaxed and inspiring atmosphere as you learn to craft your very own jewellery, from chic bangles and badges to stud earrings and trinket trays! You’ll be able to experiment with a wide array of pigments to create marbling and terrazzo effects, and finish your pieces with elegant seals and waxes.
By the end of the two sessions, you’ll leave with multiple bespoke jewellery pieces that reflect your personal creativity, as well as the skills to continue making them at home. Whether you're looking for a unique gift or something special for yourself, this workshop will offer a memorable, creative experience in the heart of the museum.
Booking is essential, as places are limited!
