Glitter Faces is so excited to be a long standing vendor at this fair. This autumn festival is held on the grounds of the gorgeous 1883 Anderson Mansion. The event has a tractor parade, civil war encampment, live local music, several artisan demonstrators like blacksmithing and basketweaving. This fair is also a huge arts and crafts fair. We love painting, and bringing our handmade flower crowns and crocheted video game characters. Our founder, Amy, has been face painting at this festival since 1996 when her Grandmother would rent a craft booth for her handmade quilts. We have a long history with this festival and absolutely cannot wait to see you all there in 2024! ? ? ? ? ? ?
A little about the Mansion: The Macoupin County Historical Society Museum is housed in the John Anderson mansion, originally built in 1883. The main house is a museum with exhibits that chronicle the development of Macoupin County and its citizens. In addition to the mansion, several other buildings on the grounds emphasize the county's history: a one-room schoolhouse, blacksmith shop, church, wash house, granary and herb garden.
