About this Event
The Detroit VA is looking to connect with community police departments to increase collaboration and build Veteran and officer wellness. The McGinnis Program, named after Medal of Honor recipient SPC Ross McGinnis, is holding information sessions to get feedback from community police departments in order to build a program that would be mutually beneficial. Topics to be covered include (but not limited to) how to respond to Veterans in crisis, how to incorporate VA resources into departmental wellness programs for Veteran officers, training opportunities, and any topics community departments feel would be helpful.
