Join Australian author and playwright, Gabriel Bergmoser, as part of the MidCoast Festival of Stories for an illuminating and often humorous discussion covering inspiration, writing techniques and industry insights. For novice and experienced writers alike, and for anyone who enjoys ‘What it's really like’ tales, be entertained whilst you develop your appreciation of the writing scene.

Gabriel Bergmoser is a bestselling author, playwright and screenwriter. In 2015 he won the prestigious Sir Peter Ustinov Television Scriptwriting Award for his pilot screenplay Windmills. In 2016 his first young adult novel, Boone Shepard, was shortlisted for the Readings Young Adult Prize. In 2019 Gabriel signed a two-book deal with Harper Collins, with the first, the bestselling The Hunted, published in July 2020. In 2022, Gabriel's Audible Original novel The Hitchhiker spent four weeks at #1 in Australia. The Hunted and The Hitchhiker are currently in development as feature films. Andromache Between Worlds is Gabriel's first middle-grade book.
