Make plans to come watch and support your local McDowell County Fire Departments for the McDowell County Fire & Rescue Association Firefighter Challenge and Chili Cook off! Each fire department will be assembling a team to compete for trophies and bragging rights. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners! There will also be a kids competition as well as inflatables, snow cones and food trucks! There will also be Fire and Rescue contestants competing in a chili cook off. So come on out September 14, 2024 at the McDowell County Fire Training Grounds at 960 Old Greenlee Road in Marion, NC. Events will kickoff at 10:00, everyone is welcome to come and watch!
