About this Event
MCC will celebrate the significant and lasting impact philanthropist
Richard H. Stanley had on our campus and the greater community. His generous
service to local and international businesses and organizations, and leadership roles
within the Stanley Group, Stanley Center for Peace and Security, and connection to
the United Nations, shaped Muscatine and all who live here today.
Legends is an annual fundraiser hosted by the MJC/MCC Alumni Association and
MCC Foundation. The Alumni Association has granted over $17,000 in the last five
years to assist student groups such as Phi Theta Kappa, Business Professionals of
America, LULAC, MCC Student Success Center, and the Student Nurses Organization.
The Foundation’s scholarship program makes education more accessible for
hundreds of students each year. It is on track to award $450,000 in scholarships to
students who live, work, and contribute to our community.
