Join medal-winning JASON AND THE DRAGONAUTS, the first and only all Scouting America dragon boat racing team in the world at their dragon boat practice sessions AND ONE RACE to complete requirements for the EXPLORATION merit badge.

1) Attend either (A) SEPTEMBER + OCTOBER Practice Sessions -OR- (B) JANUARY + FEBRUARY Practice Sessions at Cabrillo Beach in San Pedro on the following Sundays from 8:30 AM - 10:15 AM:
September 2024: 09/22, 09/29.
October 2024: 10/06, 10/13.

2) PARTICIPATE IN EITHER RACE: (A) SAN DIEGO INTERNATIONAL ON OCTOBER 19 -OR- (B) MARINA DEL REY REGIONAL IN MARCH 2025 - BASED ON THE PRACTICE OPTIONS YOU CHOSE AT REGISTRATION.

3) PLAN YOUR EXPLORATION TO TAKE PLACE EITHER BEFORE OR AFTER THE ONE RACE YOU COMPETED IN BY MAY 2025 - AND THEN SCHEDULE YOUR FINAL MEETING WITH COUNSELOR TO TAKE PLACE BY JUNE 1, 2025.

1) SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 22 Schedule -or- SUNDAY JANUARY 19 Schedule:
08:30 AM - Come in attire that can get wet and sandy to Check In for Dragon Boat Paddling and give your completed Dragonauts Crew 333 Activity Waiver and your completed LA Harbor Dragon Boat Club waiver to Merit Badge Counselor:
10:30 AM - Change to SCOUTING FIELD UNIFORM for EXPLORATION Merit Badge Introduction with Counselor at 12:30 PM at Los Verdes Golf Course.

ABOUT DRAGONAUTS CREW 333 for 13-20 year olds:
Dragonauts Crew 333 is the only Scouting America dragon boat racing venturing crew in the world. Founded by EAGLE SCOUTS from 5 different BSA Councils: Western Los Angeles County Council, Greater Los Angeles Area Council, California Inland Empire Council, Long Beach Area Council, and Las Vegas Area Council in 2021.
Dragonauts Crew 333 usually meets on the FIRST and THIRD SUNDAYS all over Southern California in Lunch-and-Learns between 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM.
