[CONCERT]Maz Univerze, also known as Maz, has been a prominent figure in the local music scene for many years, since the release of his debut album "Immortalisation" in 2018. Almost seven years later, during which Maz has released three EPs and countless singles, Maz Univerze is ready to present his second full-length album. This album is a culmination of all the research Maz has done about personal and artistic identity during this time. It solidifies his style as “emo nostalgia meets progressive hip-hop” and is a vivid exploration of the tumultuous journey from childhood to adulthood. The album delves deep into themes of identity, belonging, family, friendship, love, trauma, societal expectations, religion, sexuality, mental health, and empathy. It captures the energy of Maz Univerze’s live shows, earning him the award for Best Live Act 2022 and slots at prestigious international festivals such as Sziget festival, Rock For People, and Eurosonic.
Now performing with Patrick Miranda from “Pleasing” on guitar and his lifelong friend Riccardo Tomasini on drums, the trio not only hope to present the album in the most honest way possible but also aim to cement this new album as a Luxembourgish classic and open doors to larger international alternative audiences. Maz warmly invites everyone, old and young, to join him on 14th March at Kulturfabrik to celebrate a new chapter and enter his universe.
