Join us for the 26th annual Mayor's Event for Mental Health. This year's topic is Mental Health in Emergencies & Catastrophes

Hear from speakers during a presentation from 10:30 - 11:30 p.m.

Speakers:

  • Kim Catcher – Crisis Response Coordinator, IMPACT CMHA Waterloo Wellington
  • Dr. Hygge Schielke – Trauma Services Development Lead , Homewood Health Centre
  • Jeff Stanlick – Director of Services, CMHA Waterloo Wellington

Talk to representatives from local mental health and related organizations and enjoy refreshments from 10:00 - 10:30 a.m. and again from 11:30 - 12:00 p.m.

Organizations include Canadian Mental Health Association, Organizations include Canadian Mental Health Association, Homewood Health and Compass Community Services, and Homewood Health Centre.




SPEAKER BIOS



Kim Catcher has been with the IMPACT team since it launched in 2015. Kim has over 10 years experience with crisis intervention across the age and developmental span and is highly skilled in engaging with challenging presentations. Kim is passionate about crisis work and works hard to ensure that individuals in crisis receive timely care



Dr. Hygge Schielke is the Trauma Services Development Lead for Homewood Health, and focuses on trauma-informed treatment and workplace cultures. Dr. Schielke specializes in the assessment and treatment of trauma-related and dissociative disorders, the development of cultures that demonstrate trauma-informed collaboration, and engages in research aimed at on improving understandings of how to be of meaningful help in each of these areas.



Jeff Stanlick is the Director of Services, at the Canadian Mental Health Association Waterloo Wellington (CMHA WW). Jeff has worked with CMHA for more than eighteen years, thirteen of which have been in a leadership capacity. He began his career as a Crisis Worker and then shifted into the Adult Counselling & Treatment Service as the Clinical Practice Lead, after obtaining his Master of Social Work from the University of Windsor. Jeff is passionate about the work he does and values the needs of equity deserving communities. He is excited about opportunities to improve the experience for individuals who are struggling with mental health and/or substance health needs.
