About this Event

Mayor Richard C. Irvin presents his second quarter State of the City Address – THE STATE OF PUBLIC SAFETY & PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT – at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at Purpose City Church, 2850 Ginger Woods Pkwy.

Joined by public safety leaders of the Aurora Police Department and the Aurora Fire Department, Mayor Irvin will highlight public safety achievements over the past year and preview some exciting initiatives on the horizon.

Aurora has been ranked 'One of the Top 25 Safest Cities' in America by WalletHub and 'One of the Top 10 Most Engaged Cities' in the World by Bloomberg.

In Aurora, community safety and community engagement go hand in hand, and so much of our success is due to our public partnerships.

From our boards, commissions, and councils to our faith communities, neighborhood groups, and non-profit organizations, many are working together to keep Aurora safe, secure, and shining brightly.

Mayor Irvin will laud many of these groups' ongoing efforts and announce new community initiatives to be implemented soon.

The public is invited to join us for the State of Public Safety and Public Engagement in Aurora. RSVP today at www.aurora-il.org/SOTC2
